1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of this website and the automotive repair and maintenance services provided by Budget Motor Medics. By browsing our site, requesting a quote, or booking a service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Definitions
"We", "us" and "our" refer to Budget Motor Medics. "You" and "your" refer to the person using the website or the customer booking a service. "Vehicle" means the car, bakkie, or other motor vehicle brought to us for repair or servicing.
3. Services and Quotes
All quotes and estimates are based on the information you provide and a preliminary inspection. Prices may change if additional work, parts, or unforeseen repairs are required. We will contact you for approval before any work beyond the original quote is carried out.
4. Booking Deposit
A deposit may be required to secure a booking. The deposit amount is a percentage of the quoted estimate and is applied toward the final invoice. Deposit terms are confirmed at the time of booking and are non-refundable unless we cancel or reschedule the appointment.
5. Customer Responsibilities
You must provide accurate vehicle and contact details, disclose any known faults, and ensure the vehicle is road-legal and safe to transport. You are responsible for collecting your vehicle once work is completed and payment is made. Vehicles left with us for more than 30 days after completion may incur storage fees.
6. Parts and Materials
We use quality replacement parts that meet or exceed manufacturer specifications where applicable. OEM, approved aftermarket, or reconditioned parts may be used depending on availability and your preference. Parts warranties are limited to the warranty offered by the supplier.
7. Warranty
Work performed by Budget Motor Medics is covered by our 6-month or 10,000km guarantee (whichever comes first) on labour and approved parts, unless stated otherwise. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, accident, or modifications carried out by a third party after the repair.
8. Limitation of Liability
We accept liability for loss or damage directly caused by our negligence while the vehicle is in our care. We are not liable for pre-existing defects, consequential losses, loss of use, or third-party claims beyond the reasonable value of the service or repair performed.
9. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled by contacting us directly. We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee if notice is not given within a reasonable time or if the deposit policy expressly states the deposit is non-refundable.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or, if necessary, the courts of South Africa.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page. Continued use of the website or our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
